polo museale

The Museo del Corso – Polo museale, conceived and promoted by Fondazione Roma, is developed through the consolidation of two prestigious buildings of great historical and architectural value: Palazzo Sciarra Colonna and Palazzo Antonio Cipolla, both located along the iconic Via del Corso.

This is a new Complex that enriches the city’s cultural offering by proposing an extensive program of temporary exhibitions dedicated to the great masters of world art.

The creation of the new Museo del Corso – Polo museale reflects the mission of Fondazione Roma, which sought to create an original venue capable of combining inclusivity, commitment to the territory and its needs, and cultural promotion – principles that have always guided the Foundation’s work in the community.

The museum has the ambition to represent an authoritative and far-reaching cultural reference point, with a strong educational and formative vocation, where tradition merges with contemporaneity – a place of encounter and cultural growth for everyone, regardless of age and beyond any potential factor of marginalization.

THE PALACES

The Polo museale ideally brings together the historic Palazzo Sciarra Colonna — unique in its kind for its exhibition and archival spaces, as well as for the richness of its 18th-century interiors designed by Luigi Vanvitelli — with the exhibition areas of Palazzo Antonio Cipolla.
